Since the National Energy Investment Group Beijing Low Carbon Clean Energy Technology Research Institute and other five central enterprise research institutes started hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology research 3 to 4 years ago, on the basis of repeated screening, research and judgment, they have determined the main direction and entry point of scientific research, increased research and development investment, and built an experimental system and testing platform specifically for hydrogen energy technology research. The low-carbon Institute takes the lead in building a hydrogen quality test platform that meets international standards. After the national industry qualification certification, it can "technical check" whether the hydrogen quality used by the emerging hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in China is qualified, so as to ensure the life of the fuel cells that provide power for the vehicles. The Global Energy Internet Research Institute, together with its American and European research institutes, has proposed a strategy for electrolytic hydrogen production from wind power and photovoltaic renewable energy, and has researched and built a hydrogen experimental system for buildings, laying the foundation for the technology development of hydrogen energy application in shopping malls, offices, hospitals, schools, residential areas, and industrial parks. The Science and Technology Research Institute of State Power Investment Group has introduced a team of foreign high-level talents to develop a new generation of independent proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
