Recently, the first hydrogen-electric hybrid-powered "Qingdiantuo 1" completed its sea trial and was officially commissioned at Qingdao Port. PERIC Institute provided significant assistance for its successful sea trial.
The maximum towing capacity of this ship is 82 tons, and its cruising range can reach 120 nautical miles. The onboard hydrogen system the ship was developed by the technical team of Beijing PERIC Hydrogen Technologies Co., LTD a subsidiary of PERIC Hydrogen Technologies Co., Ltd.under PERIC Institute. To ensure the operation of the "Qingdiantuo 1" vessel in marine environments, the technical team has developed advanced "triple-protection" technology for marine installations, breaking through application limitations and significantly enhancing the resilience of the onboard hydrogen system under extreme environmental conditions.
To address the issue of hydrogen refueling, the technical team innovatively adopted a specialized hydrogen refueling system for ships, providing a complete set of hydrogen refueling equipment for the Qingdao Port Ship Hydrogen Refueling Demonstration Project. They successfully solved the problem of "hydrogen refueling is difficult" for hydrogen-powered ships and recently completed the first onshore hydrogen refueling operation for the "Qingdiantuo 1" vessel.

The success of this project demonstrates the successful application of the leading technologies of PERIC Institute in the upstream and downstream fields of hydrogen energy ships. In recent years, PERIC Institute, with its excellent technical level and product quality, has successively provided services for the first hydrogen-powered ship in China, "QingZhou 1", the first hydrogen-powered marine transportation ship in China, "Lihuweilai", and the first hydrogen-powered container ship in China, "Dongfangqinggang". Its products have been widely applied in tourist ferries, port operation tugs, and inland and offshore cargo ships, etc. In the future, PERIC Institute will continue to enhance its technical strength in onboard hydrogen system and high-pressure refueling equipment, to ensure the development of China's hydrogen energy ship industry.
